Greg Secord from Fluke Calibration demonstrates the molbloc/molbox gas flow calibration system, a highly accurate, portable and automated system for testing flow meters and controllers. A common application in flow sensor calibration is for support of gas mass flow controllers, or MFCs. An MFC is a mass flow controlling device that combines a flow meter and a valve to deliver a known flow of gas inside a process. They are heavily relied on in semiconductor, pharmaceutical and fiber optics manufacturing and other industries that require flow control systems to create specific pressure and gas environments for their processes. This video shows how the molbloc/molbox calibration system can be used to calibrate and adjust a gas flow controller.
