Introduction to Dry Block Calibrators
Learn about the Fluke Calibration family of dry block calibrators, including handheld dry wells and high accuracy Field Metrology Wells.
Video transcript:
Hi, Travis Porter with Fluke Calibration. Today I’d like to show you our family of dry-well calibrators. The dry-well calibrator is a stable heat source that allows you to create and maintain a consistent temperature with a known accuracy.
On our far left here, we’ve got some of our smallest units, the 9100S and 9102S, as well as our 9009 dual well unit. The unit here in the middle is our 914X series, which is a field metrology well designed to be portable for on-site calibrations. The big one here is the 917X series, which is our lab-grade metrology well.
Let’s take a closer look at a few of our dry wells. The 9100S and 9102S are small and portable and provide you with a range of -10 °C to 375 °C. The next unit here is our 9009, which is a dual unit calibrator that allows you to run both hot and cold temperatures simultaneously. This unit will allow you to run -15 °C up to 350 °C on the hot side. The 914X series, depending on which model you choose, (9142, 9143, and 9144; you can think of them as the low, medium and hot ranges), you can get as cold as -25 C, and as hot at 660 C.
For very accurate lab work, we have our 917X series. These guys provide you the most flexibility as far as temperature range. Depending on the model, you can get as cold as -45 °C all the way up to 700 °C.
Typical accuracy on our 914X units is 0.2 °C, while our 917X series is accurate to 0.1 °C on the display. To further improve upon accuracy, each model can be ordered with reference and process options, allowing you to connect a reference probe to further improve your accuracy.
All of our dry-well units come with either a traceable calibration certificate or ISO 17025 accreditation. This allows you to feel confidence in the calibration work you are performing.
