Q. I downloaded the demo version of LogWare III and I like it and want to buy it. What do I need to do?
A. If you are currently using a demo version of LogWare III and want to purchase it, please contact an Application Specialist or Customer Service representative. They can take your order and, upon approval of payment method, provide you with a serial number and a license file. Q. Can I set up LogWare III to acquire data in real-time from multiple loggers?
A. Yes. Each LogWare III client can be configured to acquire real-time data from multiple loggers by setting up a real-time log session for each logger. Each real-time log session has its own window and is independent from all other logger 's real-time log session
Q. What kind of security does LogWare III provide to protect the data in the data repository?
A. LogWare III implements many security features such as user names and passwords, customizable user permissions, and licensing to restrict access to LogWare III and many of its features. In order to use LogWare III, user accounts must be created by a LogWare III administrator and assigned permissions. Permissions determine which features of LogWare III each user has access to.
Q. What instruments does LogWare III interface with?
A. LogWare III was designed exclusively to interface with the Model 1620A "DewK" Thermo-Hygrometer (logger). LogWare III is also compatible with the Model 1620 and Model 5020A "DewK" Thermo-Hygrometers.
Q. How do I get data into LogWare III's database?
A. There are three methods that can be used to get data into LogWare III's database. These methods are: 1) Logging data in real-time, 2) Importing data from PC card files (Model 1620/5020A only), and 3) Downloading data directly from the logger's memory via RS-232, Ethernet, or optional wireless connection. You can use the method(s) that work best for your situation, depending on the number and location of the loggers being used.
Q. Why are there no COM ports listed in the COM ports drop-down list?
A. Only COM ports that the operating system reports as being available are listed in the drop-down list. If no COM ports are listed, there may be another application running that is currently using a COM port. Close all other applications and reboot the computer if necessary. If you have a PDA hot sync adapter connected to the computer, make sure the hot sync manager software is not running!!
Q. Can LogWare III be configured to start a real-time log session when I am away?
A. Yes. LogWare III has a feature called Delayed Start which allows you to specify the date and time that a real-time log session should begin. Simply configure the log session, set the delayed start date and time, and start the log session. LogWare III will wait until the specified date and time to begin acquiring data.
Q. Can LogWare III be configured to stop a real-time log session automatically?

Q. How can I know if the conditions I’m monitoring are out of tolerance?
A. Customizable e-mail settings allow you to send e-mails to designated recipients, including cell phones and PDA’s, when a log session begins, ends, or is aborted; when the DewK’s battery is low; when a sensor calibration is due; or when a temperature/humidity alarm is exceeded; when a sensor is disconnected/reconnected during a real-time log session; or when LogWare III is unable to perform a task due to a conflict.
